FAI Award Winners

Since 1989 the FAI has held an annual award ceremony to recognise the players and figures who have made a significant contribution to the game in the Republic of Ireland.

Given the links between the two nations, a number of people from Northern Ireland have also been recognised.

Senior Men's International Player of the Year

• 1997 Peter Hutton (Derry City) (ex-NI U15, Irish League rep)

Hall of Fame

• 1999 First Eire and foreign team to beat England (1949) (six of the players were "Dual Internationals")
• 1997 Kevin O'Flanagan (NI Amateur and Victory international)

International Personality

• 2004 Martin O'Neill
• 2000 Pat Jennings

Special Merit Award

• 2018 Brendan Bradley [all-time top goalscorer in League of Ireland] (NI-born)
• 2001 Jim McLaughlin
