Collectors Corner Pepys "International Whist" Game from 1947/48 featured eleven players from each of the Home Nations... More details here The hooped socks in this collection have been queried. True, it was only the Eire (FAI) side that regularly wore hooped socks, but this is definitely an IFA side as although Tommy Breen , Bill Gorman , Con Martin , Jackie Vernon , Johnny Carey , Alex Stevenson and Dave Walsh were all " Dual Internationals ", Jim Feeney , Davy Cochrane , Peter Doherty and Norman Lockhart only ever played for the Northern team.
