Sam Chapman (1 B Cap) coached a Crewe. Mark Williams began his career at Crewe but never made a firstteam appearance. Pat McCourt had a trial with Crewe in 2004. Billy Cook coached at Crewe in the 1950s.

Robert Stewart

Name: Robert Kennedy Stewart Born: 15 August 1868 Died: 1 September 1940 Position: Full-Back Representative Honours: Ireland: 11 Full Cap (1890-1894) ; Irish League: 1 Full Cap (1893) . Club Honours: (with Cliftonville) Irish Cup Runner-Up 1892/93 ; Co. Antrim Shield Winner. Club Career: St Columb's Court Cliftonville Biography: A full-back with St. Columb's Court and then Cliftonville, Robert Stewart played in the 1893 5-1 Irish Cup Final with the Reds and also tasted success in the Co. Antrim Shield. In April 1893 he played for the Irish League in their first representative fixture, a 3-0 win over the Scottish League. Stewart was capped eleven times by Ireland, the first three while with St. Columb's Court and the remainder when a Cliftonville player. Ned Spiller

Name: Edward Ashley Spiller Born: 22 November 1861, Belfast Died: 23 March 1896, Portsmouth (England) Position: Forward Representative Honours: Ireland: 5 Full Cap (1883-1884). Club Honours: (with Cliftonville) Irish Cup Winner 1882/ 83, Runner-Up 1881/82 ; Charity Cup Winner 1883/84. Club Career: Cliftonville 1881/82-1883/84 Biography: Ned Spiller played in consecutive Irish Cup Finals with Cliftonville. In 1882 he was part of the side defeated 1-0 by Ulster in the season's showpiece. The following year was quite different however as a re-shaped Reds forward-line free-scored their way to the trophy. In the semi-final Cliftonville crushed Alexander 7-0, with Spiller scoring twice, and in the Final they gained revenge against Ulster, winning by five goals to nil. He played his final game for the Reds on the 3rd May 1884 in a 2-0 win over Distillery in the Charity Cup Final. Capped five times by Ireland, he featured at both outside and inside-left.
