Biography:
Employed as assistant managers by Bingham were Martin Harvey (at the 1982 and 1986 World Cups) and Jimmy Nicholl (from 1990). Bertie Peacock was also among the coaching staff who went to Spain in 1982. In 1987 Jim Platt took charge of a team selected by Bingham (who was on 'club' duty in Saudi Arabia) for a friendly match against Israel.

I remember reading that on the morning prior to managing Northern Ireland against England (Wembley 1986), Billy married his second wife Rebecca in St Albans. Gerry Armstrong was best man & Malcolm Brodie a witness.

This is true he was getting married as he was about to head to Saudi Arabia to coach Al-Nassr and his partner would not have been able to enter the country because they were not a married couple!
