A selection of Northern Ireland kits that may have come to be in different circumstances:
Olympic Sportswear (1999-2001)
Had the OS deal not collapsed early, could we have ended up in kits like these? (As supplied to Rushden & Diamonds and Dundee United)
1958 World Cup
If we had had our kits manufactured by the same people who supplied our opponents - Czechoslovakia, Argentina, West Germany and France.Late-80s Hummel
If we had been provided the same templates as worn by Denmark (homes) and Spurs (aways)
1970s Admiral
Had we joined the Admiral revolution rather than staying "safe" with Umbro then Adidas.1980s Le Coq Sportif
In the 1980s French firm Le Coq Sportif supplied many clubs, including Linfield. Here are re-imagined St Etienne, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Everton kits with some re-jigged shorts/socks combos.
Still Blue
If we had retained blue as our first choice. Presumably green would have been OK as an accent colour as it was used as an alternative in the otherwise blue days.NASL Style
If we had embraced the free-thinking styles as used in North American soccer.Classics
A few re-imagined classics as inspired by Plymouth, Carlisle, Crystal Palace and West Germany.Flag Colours
We went red and white for the away shirt for a period in the 90s. What if we tried that a bit more?1990 World Cup Style
A few alternatives inspired by Austria, West Germany, Yugoslavia and Denmark from the 1988-90 era.Early-90s Admiral
Admiral got some big ontracts in the early-90s, here are a few re-imagined Rangers and Leeds shirts in Northern Ireland colours.
USA 94
When the USA hosted the World Cup in 1994 Adidas supplied them with a striking pair of kits that featured the stars and stripes respectively. What if Northern Ireland replaced the stars with more relevant emblems?

2022 Kits Re-Imagined
The 2022 proposed yellow home kit was a shocking departure from tradition. Firstly we look at keeping the yellow theme, but with a re-design to "Not Brazil" colours. The others follow the more usual green and/or blue themes. The "quartered" kit is inspired by the blue/white halves that some sources note we wore c.1889. The all blue/navy kit reflect they early St Patrick's blue home kits plus more recent aways, while the red/white and black/green kits reflect those worn in the late-90s and early 2010s respectively.
