Biography:
Nathan Gartside had already appeared on the bench for the Watford football team when his career and life were near brought to a premature end by an inflamed heart.

Gartside rebuilt his career after joining Derry City and in March 2021 was called into the senior international panel. He had to withdraw from the squad before departure for Italy as there was an administrative oversight regarding his heart medication being registered with UEFA.
