Biography:
A tough-tackling defender, Al-James Hannigan was London-born to a Northern Irish mother. A Spurs fan as a boy, he eventually joined Arsenal as a teenager and played alongside Steve Morrow in the 1988 FA Youth Cup final win over Doncaster Rovers.
James played for Northern Ireland at youth level and was included in the Under-21 squad for a match against Israel in 1990, but he didn't play in that match.
