Biography:
A regular for Northern Ireland throughout the youth set-up, Andrew Mitchell is a versatile player, featuring at full-back and in midfield. He initially joined Manchester City as a fifteen year-old before joining Rangers in 2010. He graduated to the firstteam in 2012, playing twice in the SPL before their demotion to the Third Division that summer. He remained with the club, but still found chances limited. He captained Rangers Reserves to the league title before joining Annan on loan early in the 2013/14 season. Shortly after his return to Ibrox he was released by mutual consent as he sought guarantees about his future and the club sought to cut costs and he returned to Annan until the end of the season. For 2014/15 he joined Conference side Southport, but re-joined Annan mid-season. In the summer of 2015 he returned to Northern Ireland, joining champions Crusaders.
