Biography:
A former Republic of Ireland youth cap, Ger Doherty was long talked-up as a potential international by his club-manager, Declan Devine. Michael O'Neill awarded Doherty his first Northern Ireland call-up for a February 2013 friendly in Malta.

Doherty made over 300 appearances for Derry before joining Crusaders.
