Biography:
(courtesy of John Floyd)
Son of former Manchester United defender, Steve, Alex Bruce currently plays for Hull City where his father is manager.

A controversial selection for the Northern Ireland squad in October 2012, Bruce had previously rejected a Northern Ireland call-up, preferring instead to represent the Republic of Ireland. Having won two friendly caps for the south he became frustrated by his lack of opportunities and agreed a switch to the north with Nigel Worthington in the summer of 2011.

After finishing his professional career at Kilmarnock, Bruce combined non-league playing with scouting. In February 2022 he joined his father's coaching team at West Brom.
