Biography:
David Healy's cousin, Hugh Dickson won an Irish Cup winner's medal with Glentoran after just a handful of appearances. Shortly thereafter he moved to Wigan Athletic where he spent a year and a half before retuirning to the Irish League with Ards then Linfield. After a lengthy spell in the Scottish Third Division with Elgin he again moved "back home" to play with Glenavon.

Capable in defence or midfield, Dickson made his only Northern Ireland Under-21 appearance at right-back against Malta in 2001. He was sent-off in the 84th minute for two bookable offences as the Maltese came from behind to equalise in the last minute. A month later he again wore the number two shirt as a Northern Ireland Select faced Macclesfield in a Sammy McIlroy "Celebration Match".
