Biography:
A real ninety-minute player, Sammy Moore took many a knock without giving-up, or his pace even waning, all the time with a smile upon his face. As an amateur he captained Belfast Celtic, he was a quiet and unassuming man off the pitch, "a genuine amateur [...] he would not even accept his tram fares" revealed club manager, Austin Donnelly.

A product of Derry junior football, Moore reportedly declined a number of lucrative offers to leave Celtic Park.
