Biography:
The eldest of the Gordon brothers, Willie Gordon won seven caps for Ireland before being followed by brothers Hugh and Tom. The brothers also played together many times for Linfield, including in the 1894 Irish Cup Final 2-2 draw with Distillery when they filled the goalkeeper, right-back and left-back positions (Hugh moving to half-back in the 3-2 replay defeat to accomodate Sam Torrans' return to the line-up). Willie also captained Ireland on two ocassions, an honour also awarded Hugh.
