Biography:
The youngest of the Gordon brothers, Hugh represented Ireland three times at full-back and half-back. He made his debut in the same team as eldest brother, Tom, in a 9-0 defeat by England. Hugh won his final cap as captain of the side that drew 3-3 with Scotland in March 1896, the first time Ireland had managed to avoid defeat at the hands of the Scots.
