Biography:
Elder brother of Willie Hooper, Dick was a prolific goalscorer for Bohemians in the first decade of the 20th Century as the club moved from the Leinster League to the Irish League in 1902. He helped the Bohs to four Irish Cup finals. He scored twice in the 1908 replay win over Shelbourne, appeared in defeats to Cliftonville in 1900 and 1909, but missed out on the 1903 final defeat by Distillery.

Capped in Amateur Ireland's first three matches, he scored their first away goal in a 6-1 reverse by England at White Hart Lane in 1907 and captained the side the following year as the English visited Dalymount Park to record a third successive win.
