Biography:
A promising young full-back, Conor McLaughlin has played for Northern ireland through the schoolboy and youth teams, making his Under-21 debut as an eighteen-year-old against San Marino in March 2010. Also capable of playing anywhere on the right or in central midfield, McLaughlin was promoted to Preston's senior squad for the first time in September 2009 and signed his first professional contract the following Januray. He made his senior debut in a 2-0 defeat by Hull in November 2010 and thereafter was established in the firstteam until suffering a broken leg and dislocated ankle during a 4-0 defeat by Bristol City in February 2011. He returned to the field early in the following season and earned his first senior Northern Ireland call-up for the October double-header with Estonia and Italy.

McLaughlin's younger brother Ryan is currently at Liverpool and the pair played alongside each other for Northern Ireland during the 2014 South American tour..
