Biography:
Capped four times - against Wales, England, Scotland and Eire - as a Larne schoolboy, Jim McKinstry added Amateur international and inter-league honours to his collection a decade later. A strong, rugged centre-half, he seldom missed a game and was a stalwart of the Distillery and Glenavon side that claimed league and cup honours.
