Biography:
Paul McVeigh's international career came to an end when he took a "break" from Northern Ireland duty so that he could concentrate on his club career.

McVeigh left Norwich in the summer of 2007 having spent the end of the season on loan at Burnley. He had trials with Serie B side Pisa and Plymouth Argyle before joining League One Luton Town. He was "made available" by Luton after their relegation to League Two at the end of 2007/08 but having failed to find a new club he remained with the Hatters.

Following Luton's relegation to the Conference McVeigh had a trial with San Jose Earthquakes of the MLS. In July 2009 he began to train with Norwich in order to retain his fitness while searching for a new club. To the surprise of many he impressed manager Bryan Gunn enough to be awarded a one-year a contract. After just eleven appearances in the 2009/10 season McVeigh was released by Norwich. He now works as a motivational speaker, mentor to young players and in the media.
