Biography:
You may think that conceding eleven times on your debut would signal an immediate end to an international career - not so for Jack Clugston. In all he won fourteen caps, conceding a total of 69 goals (an average of almost five per match), and finished on the winning side just once.

As well as his international caps and Irish Cup medals, Clugston also represented Ireland at lacrosse. Jack worked as a warehouseman in the linen industry, his father, William, having been a linen merchant.
