Biography:
A founder member of Linfield Football & Athletic Club, James Christian helped the club to defeat Bolton Wanderers 4-0 in the English (FA) Cup in 1888/89, and to a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest in the following draw before withdrawing from the competition.
Capped just once, Christian finished on the end of a seven goal defeat by Scotland at Ibrox.
