Centre-half Charlie Crothers won a single cap for Ireland, stepping in for Belfast Celtic's James Connor against Wales in 1907. A Distillery player at the time, he would leave Grosvenor Park for Belfast Celtic in 1908.

Biography:
Centre-half Charlie Crothers won a single cap for Ireland, stepping in for Belfast Celtic's James Connor against Wales in 1907. A Distillery player at the time, he would leave Grosvenor Park for Belfast Celtic in 1908.
As at the 1901 Census, aged 16, Crothers was living with his parents in the Ormeau area of Belfast and employed as a brass finisher.
