Own Goals

We've all heard about the prolific journey-man Irish striker, Owen Goal. His name appears every week on Final Score. If Owen were a real striker for (Northern) Ireland he'd be fifth* equal in the all time goalscorer standings, but somehow he'd also have racked-up an impressive 23 goals against us!

Own goals are one of the most subjective statistics in the game of football, one man's O.G. is another's slight deflection. Add to that "scrimmages" and the like from the earliest days with a lack of video evidence, some goalscorers will just never be known beyond a particular reporter's opinion.
