Biography:
Quick on either wing, Matty Kennedy represented Scotland at all youth levels up to under-21. On being announced in the Northern Ireland squad for the first time in October 2019, Michael O'Neill revealed: "We have known about him for some time. He was born in Dundonald, has Scottish parents and grew up in Scotland. He played for Scotland Under-21s so the paper work took longer than we thought."
Kennedy left Tommy Wright's St Johnstone for Aberdeen in January 2020. Among his rivals for a spot on the wing at Pittodrie is Niall McGinn.
