Biography:
A diminutive player, Denis "Dinny" Hannon was a gentleman amateur with Bohemians, combining his football with work as a solicitor.
Capped six times while a Bohemians player, Hannon's greatest international honour came when he was in the veteran stage. In 1924, having scored for Athlone in their FAI Cup final win over Fordsons, he captained the Irish Free State to the quarter-finals of the 1924 Olympic Games football tournament - he was thus the first Irish "Dual International".

Dinny Hannon can actually be included in your dual international section.His 1924 Olympic honours have retrospectively been classified as full internationals.As an Athlonian I am very proud of Dinny.I had a good chat with him in 1961.I was home from London telling him about a Spurs match I had been to.
'I played in their ground in 1910' he told me.Actually I think it may have been a year or two earlier!
