Biography:
Capped as an Under-21, the closest Norman Kelly got to a full cap was when he was on the bench for a famous 1-1 draw with Germany in 1992.
In December 2008 Kelly returned to Linfield as a member of their scouting staff. From July 2010 to December 2011 he was firstteam coach at Larne before taking on a similar role at Ballymena under Glenn Ferguson. He left the Showgrounds when Ferguson was sacked in March 2016 and was appointed coach at Glenavon just a few weeks later, but left at the end of the season.

Biography:
Portsmouth-born Paul Gray grew up in Northern Ireland, winning youth caps and playing in the Bangor firstteam as a teenager. He moved to Luton in May 1986 and made his firstteam debut in February 1988 against Everton in the Simod Cup during the Hatters' run to the 1987/88 Final. In June 1988 he signed professional terms and in December 1989 he made his Football League debut against Arsenal as a substitute for Kingsley Black. He scored his only League goal for Luton in a 3-2 win over Coventry in March 1990 on a day when the other scorers were Black and Iain Dowie - an all-Northern Irish scoresheet!
At the end of the 1989/90 season Gray played for Northern Ireland in an Under-21 international against Israel in Coleraine, and a month later appeared for a "full" Northern Ireland team against Spurs in Danny Blanchflower's testimonial. Gray was back in Luton's reserve team for the 1990/91 season and made no further firstteam appearances prior to joining Wigan Athletic in the 1991 close-season. He made his Latics debut as a substitute against Shrewsbury on the opening day of the season and he was beginning to make an impression on the starting eleven before being ruled-out by a serious ankle injury picked up against Hartlepool.
After close to two seasons out, Gray made his playing come-back with ex-club, Bangor. Although he struggled to make an impact with the Seasiders he was named "Personality of the Round" after coming off the bench to score two goals in a superb 10-minute spell in the 1993 Irish Cup quarter-final win over Glentoran as Bangor marched to the Final. Gray didn't make the team for the Final and his appearances thereafter were sporadic. His only other goal while with the Clandeboye-club was in a 3-3 draw with Coleraine in March 1995.
After another eleven months without a firstteam appearance, Gray left Bangor for Ards. His luck failed to change at Castlereagh Park and he made just four appearances from the bench in two seasons.Northern ireland Under-21 Cap Details:

Among Gray's Northern Ireland Youth team appearances was a UEFA Under-18 Championship qualifier against Norway at Clandeboye Road on 7 May 1987. In the Norway side was Stig Inge Bjornebye, Lars Bohinen and Roger Nilsen, all of whom went on to play in the English Premier League.

Peter Kennedy
Name: Peter Henry James Kennedy
His first season at Mourneview was spent mainly in the reserves, where he helped them finish third in the Irish League 'B' Division Section II, just two points behind the eventual winners, Glentoran (in fact, if Glenavon had won their final match at Omagh, the title would have been their's!).
Following another trial in the summer of 1993, this time with Blackburn, Kennedy returned to Mourneview where he finally established himself in the Glenavon first eleven. He, and Glenavon, had an outstanding season, finishing just two points off the Irish League title, and the 1994/95 season was again a successful one, all-be-it the club finished without a trophy (though they were runners-up in both the League and the Co. Antrim Shield). On a personal note however Kennedy picked up his first representative honour, playing for the Irish League Under-21 side against their FAI National League counterparts, in a 0-0 draw at Mourneview.
A suprise move in the summer of 1995 took Kennedy across Craigavon to Glenvaon's bitter rivals Portadown. At Shamrock Park his performances picked up further, as he scored 18 goals to help the club clinch a trio of trophies, the Irish League title, the Irish League Cup and the Ulster Cup. The summer of 1996 finally saw the move Kennedy had been waiting his whole career for, with Notts County stumping up a massive £100,000 for his signature.

Biography:
Peter Kennedy emerged as one of the brightest young stars on the Irish League scene in the mid-1990s. He stood out from the crowd at a very young age, playing in the Under-11 side when barely nine-years-old, and had early trials with Tottenham and Bournemouth. Following six years with Lisburn Youth he spent an unhappy six months with Portadown before signing with the Glentoran Colts where he picked up a Youth Cup winner's medal in 1991. He failed to make the step up at the Oval and signed for Glenavon in the summer of 1992.
His first season at Mourneview was spent mainly in the reserves, where he helped them finish third in the Irish League 'B' Division Section II, just two points behind the eventual winners, Glentoran (in fact, if Glenavon had won their final match at Omagh, the title would have been their's!).

He was released by the Ports in June 2008 and after a short spell with Banbridge Town signed for Ballymena United. He managed just four matches for the Braidmen before announcing his retirement from playing in September 2008 to concentrate on obtaining his accountancy qualifications.

Biography:
Phil Hughes chose to join Leeds United in 1983 after serving an apprenticeship with Manchester United believing there was little chance of a firstteam breakthrough at Old Trafford. At Elland Road too his chances were limited by the presence of Scottish international David Harvey, before the signing of Mervyn Day mid-way through the 1984/85 season ensured that Hughes had no future in Leeds' first-team. A former Northern Ireland Youth international, in late-1984 he was included in the full international squad for the first time.
Signed by Bury in the summer of 1985, Hughes established himself imediately in the first-team and despite the Shakers finishing 20th in Division Three (just three points away from relegation), his consistent performances convinced Billy Bingham to select him ahead of George Dunlop for the 1986 World Cup Finals squad.
With Pat Jennings retiring after the World Cup in Mexico, Hughes was chosen for Northern Ireland's first game without the legendary 'keeper. The inexperienced team suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of England, as Hughes became the first, and to date only, Bury goalkeeper to earn caps while with the club. Two further caps were added in the draws with Turkey and Israel later that season.
A shoulder injury picked up in the second half of the 1986/87 season ruled Hughes out for a lengthy period, and in the meantime his Northern Ireland place was taken by George Dunlop, then Allen McKnight. He never really recovered his form and was allowed to join Wigan Athletic for £35,000, after an initial brief loan, in November 1987.
Although Wigan were firmly a Third Division side at the time, Hughes was given another chance to play at Wembley, in the Mercantile Credit Football League Centenary Tournament, and saved a penalty in one of the tournaments many shoot-outs. After 99 League games in four years at Springfield Park, Phil Hughes was allowed to join Rochdale in 1991 on a free transfer.
Hughes finished his League career with a season at Scarborough, retiring at the age of 27 after suffering from recurring shoulder injuries. He played non-league for Guisely and later combined his job as a policeman with coaching youth football.
Hughes has since acted as goalkeeping coach at Leeds United, Grimsby Town and, from 2004 to 2010, Burnley. In January 2010 he was briefly caretaker-assistant-manager at Turf Moor following the resignation of Owen Coyle. Hughes and Coyle were later re-united at Bolton Wanderers (2010-2012), Wigan Athletic (2013) and Houston Dynamos (2015-date).
