Biography:
A former England Under-21 goalkeeper, Lee Camp declared his interest in playing for Northern Ireland in September 2010 having become frustrated at his failure to break into the England senior squad. Eligible for Northern Ireland through his Belfast-born grandfather, the required FIFA clearance for changing countries was received the following February and he was called into the Northern Ireland squad for the first time for a Euro 2012 double-header against Serbia and Slovenia the following month. After much discussion as to whether he would go straight into the starting eleven, Nigel Worthington's decision was made easier as Maik Taylor withdrew from the squad due to an injury and Camp started in Belgrade.

Northern Ireland's regular number one through the last year of Nigel Worthington's management, Camp's position came under pressure when Roy Carroll returned to the squad. In September 2012, after finding himself relegated to the bench, he withdrew from the international squad for "personal reasons" and he has not returned since. His club career likewise suffered and in January 2013 he was released by new Forest manager Alex McLeish, moving on to Norwich City on a short-term deal.

Camp provided goalkeeping cover for the Canaries for the remainder of the 2012/13 season, making his Premier League debut as a substitute in a 1-1 draw at Sunderland following the sending-off of Mark Bunn. When Bunn returned from suspension and regular number one John Ruddy returned to fitness Camp found himself as third choice and his contract was not renewed at the end of the campaign.

Early in the following season he was given the opportunity to remain in the Premier League, again on a short-term contract, with West Brom who were suffering a goalkeeper shortage. He never made it beyond the bench at the Hawthorns and when the club's more established custodians returned to fitness Camp was allowed to go on loan to Bournemouth. After good form with the Cherries his deal was made permanent in the January 2014 transfer window. He played 13 time as Bournemouth claimed promotion to the Premier League for the first time, but having been displaced by Artur Boruc he was released early in that historic campaign and subsequently joined Rotherham.

Biography:

A young defender on the fringes of the Celtic firstteam squad, Daniel Lafferty's favoured role is in the centre of defence, but he is also capable at left-back. A product of Derry-based Oxford United, Lafferty has represented Northern Ireland at Youth level and was a member of the Elite team that won the 2008 Milk Cup tournament. He made his Under-21 debut during a mini-tournament in Ukraine during August 2008 and started for an inexperienced B team that lost 3-0 to Scotland in May 2009. On 17th February 2010 he joined First Division side Ayr United on loan until the end of the season. He was released by Celtic at the end of the 2009/10 season and returned home to sign for Derry City.

In January 2012 Lafferty earned a much deserved move back across the water, joining the healthy Northern Ireland contingent at Burnley. He made his Football League debut in a 0-0 draw at Cardiff that March.

Lafferty struggled with injuries while at Burnley and never really enjoyed an extended run in the team. He spent a number of loan spells away from Turf Moor. At the start of the 2016/17 season he joined Sheffield United on another temporary deal, which became permanent mid-season for an undisclosed fee.

Biography:
A regular captain for Northern Ireland at every Youth level up to Under-20, Michael O'Connor became involved in a tug-of-war between the IFA and the FAI and he actually turned out for the Republic of Ireland's Under-21 side. Because those appearances were not competitive he was able to change his mind and in November 2007 was included in Roy Millar's Under-21 panel for matches against Luxembourg and Moldova. In March 2008 Nigel Worthington then included O'Connor in the Full squad for a friendly match against Georgia.

A product of the highly successful Crewe Alexandra Academy, O'Connor helped Alex's youth side to the 2004 FA Youth Cup semi-final. Originally a more attacking player, he has developed into an effective defensive midfielder using his size to great effect. His League debut came is a late substitute in a 2-1 win over Brighton in February 2006 and he was a regular feature in the Crewe line-up from the 2006/07 season on.

On 6th March 2009, O'Connor joined Lincoln City on loan after falling out with Crewe manager Gudjon Thordarson. He was made available for transfer at the end of the campaign and after being linked with a permanent move to Lincoln and training with Hibernian he signed for Scunthorpe in a deal reported to be worth £250,000. With The Iron he teamed up with Northern Ireland teammate, Grant McCann.

Although impressing in the Championship on a regular basis, O'Connor has struggled to impress his international boss, Nigel Worthington. As such he has been only an occasional squad member, but despite news of his frustrations appearing in the press he has not been completely ignored.

Biography:
Born in Eglinton, just outside Londonderry, Dave Campbell’s playing career took off at local intermediate side, Oxford United Stars. From there he moved on to Nottingham Forest as an apprentice in June 1981, picking up Northern Ireland Youth Caps along the way, before signing professional forms at the City Ground in June 1983.

At Forest Campbell’s route to a regular first team midfield spot was always going to be difficult, especially with young English talent such as Neil Webb and Steve Hodge also battling to establish themselves. As it was, Campbell did admirably to break into the Forest team for the second half of the 1985/86 season, enjoying a run of 27 consecutive Division One appearances through to the following season.

It was Campbell’s impressive First Division form that prompted Billy Bingham to call him up as Northern Ireland searched for the right squad mix to take to the World Cup Finals in Mexico. Campbell made his international bow as a sub in the pre-World Cup warm-up game with Morocco, and did enough to earn a place in the Finals’ squad. His first start for Northern Ireland was against Brazil at the Finals, but he could do little to prevent a 3-0 defeat in the Guadalajara sun.

On returning from Mexico, Campbell’s continued good form brought him impressive press, his skills on the ball allowing him to twist and turn his way into the opposition’s penalty area. Here though lay the problem, once in these dangerous positions he would often lose the plot, blasting wildly goal-wards, or fluffing the easy pass, and Brian Clough took the decision to drop him. In February 1987 Campbell was loaned to Forest’s Third Division neighbours, Notts County, where he regained his confidence for another attack on the Forest first eleven. Indeed, the following season began brightly with Campbell forcing his way back into the team, but it was clear that Clough still wasn’t confident in the youngster, and he was sold to Charlton Athletic for £75,000 in October 1987.

On the international front, Campbell continued as a regular, playing in every one of Northern Ireland’s Euro ’88 qualification matches. By the end of the campaign though, Bingham was looking for more reliable players who would suit his preferred style of play, and Campbell found himself making way for the likes of Michael O’Neill and Kevin Wilson. He made his final international appearances as substitute in the friendlies against Greece and Poland early in 1988.

From then on, Campbell’s career as a wandering pro began. A loan spell with Plymouth in March 1989 was a cut short to allow a £75,000 move to Bradford. He lasted a year-and-a-half in Yorkshire before returning home to Derry City on loan in December 1990, then at Shamrock Rovers a month later – a move that later became permanent. Whilst with Rovers Campbell gained an Inter-League cap in a 2-0 defeat by the Irish League at Tolka Park in November 1991. From there, Campbell had a loan spell with Cliftonville (January ‘92), non-contract spells at Rotherham (November ’92) and West Brom (February ’93), an injury ravaged year with Burnley (from March ’93) and a brief loan spell at Lincoln (February ’94). In March 1994 Ronnie McFaul brought Campbell to Portadown as they pushed, ultimately unsuccessfully, for the double, eventually finishing Irish League runners-up to Linfield and losing in the Irish Cup semi-final to Bangor.

A new beginning seemed on the horizon when Campbell was signed on a non-contract basis by Kenny Swain for Wigan Athletic in August 1994, but with Swain dismissed just a month of the season, Campbell found himself released in October after just seven games. He signed for Cambridge United to the end of the season the following January, and made his debut against Brentford. It proved to be a miserable game, with Cambridge losing 6-0 (it had been scoreless at half-time), and Campbell suffering a broken leg which forced his retirement as a professional footballer.

Since retiring from playing Campbell has run summer schools, coaching youngsters throughout the UK.
