Biography:
A regular for Northern Ireland at Youth level, Adam Thompson starred at the 2010 Milk Cup, scoring against Mexico during the group stage. He was elevated to the Under-21 team in September 2010 while still short of his eighteenth birthday.

A graduate of Watford's Academy, Thompson made his firstteam debut in a Carling Cup defeat by Notts County on 24th August 2010. He agreed his first professional contract that November. Among his colleagues at Vicarage Road are fellow Northern Ireland Under-21 internationals Lee Hodson and Michael Bryan. He received his first senior call-up for the Carling Nations Cup game against Scotland in February 2011 and made his début as a second half substitute in a 3-0 defeat.

Thompson joined Brentford on a months loan early in the 2011/12 season and again in February. Early in the 2012/13 season he was off on another temporary deal, this time to Wycombe Wanderers. This was followed by a loan spell with Barnet, though the move was cut-short by a serious shoulder injury.

In August 2013 Thompson was loaned out again, this time to League Two side Southend United. The following January he became free to talk to clubs as he approached the end of his contract with Watford. Following interest from a host of clubs he decided to join the Shrimpers permanently, signing an 18 month deal.

During the 2013/14 season Thompson captained the Northern Ireland Under-21 side while remaining on the fringes of the senior squad.

Biography:
One of a number of players to act as goalkeeping cover for Northern Ireland's more regular Under-21 number ones such as David Miskelly and Michael Ingham, Chris Tardif won his first call-up for a European Championship Qualifier with Malta in September 2001. However, he never added Under-21 honours to the Youth caps he had won previously.

Guernsey-born Tardif was eligible for Northern Ireland through his British Passport (as with fellow islander Trevor Wood in the mid-1990s), and came to the notice of Roy Millar thanks to his performances with Portsmouth's under-age sides. Tardif made his League debut during the 2000/01, and it looked likely that he would get his chance the following season as Russell Hoult was sold to West Brom and Aaron Flahavan was tragically killed in a car accident. Instead, Portsmouth manager, Graham Rix signed veteran Dave Beasant and Tardif made just one appearance. There followed several loan spells before Tardif was released in 2004.

Signed by Oxford United, then managed by Rix, for the 2004/05 season, Chris Tardif finally established himself in first-team football. He was awarded both "Player of the Year" and "Players' Player of the Year" during that first campaign but early the following year he lost his place. Having regained the number one berth he was then sidelined by injury and in his absence Oxford were relegated from the Football League. Unable to re-establish himself in The Us' first team at Conference level, Tardif decided to quit full-time football in September 2007 at the age of 28.

Tardif has since continued to play part-time football with a number of clubs in the south of England. In 2011 he was called into the Guernsey squad alongside Zico Black for the Island Games. He has also played in the inter-Channel Islands Muratti Vase.

Biography:
A former Northern Ireland Under-21 captain, Chris Turner finished 2009 as Dundalk's topscorer and earned a place in the PFAI Team of the Year. He signed for Sligo Rovers in the closing weeks of the season only to leave for Shamrock Rovers without playing a firstteam game. He has been a key member of the Rovers side that claimed the 2010 League of Ireland title, finished runners-up in the FAI Cup and impressed against Juventus in the Europa League. Rovers retained the League title the following year and became the first Irish team to progress to the group stage of the Europa League.

"A wing-half who mixes defence and attack cleverly", Billy Truesdale was a contemporary of Jimmy McIlroy and Billy Bingham at Co-Op Rec, then Glentoran's "thirds". He graduated to the Seconds but, unlike his illustrious colleagues, could progress no further at The Oval and instead moved to Bangor. It was while with the Seasiders that Truesdale won a single amateur cap.
