Biography:
James Knowles has represented Northern Ireland throughout the Schools and Youth team set-ups. He was particularly impressive during the 2011 Milk Cup and earned elevation to the Under-21 squad for a European qualifier against the Faroe Islands at the Oval that August. Playing in an unfamiliar right-back role his running proved to be potent offensively but he saw himself red carded for a clumsy challenge late on in a 4-0 win.

Knowles was released by Blackburn at the end of the 2011/12 season. After several trials he joined Cliftonville in late-September and played an important role in their Premiership title win. He missed out on further honours as injury ruled him out of the Irn Bru League Cup final win over Crusaders and the expiration of his contract prior to the Irish Cup final saw him denied a place for the defeat by Glentoran.

As a free agent, Knowles signed for Linfield for the 2013/14 season. His first goal for the Blues was a free kick against Cliftonville. He struggled to maintain a firstteam place and in January he agreed a loan move with Ards. He was unable to help Ards survive in the top-flight and re-signed for Cliftonville in May 2014.

Biography:
A forward capable from either of the left-wing berths, Albert Kilpatrick was signed by Coleraine as the cash-strapped Bannsiders were forced to build a team principally from amateurs and locals. It was something of a second chance for Kilpatrick, for he had previously been on the books of Distillery - during which time he had represented the Intermediate League against the Central League and Glasgow - and Linfield - where he played in a Junior international against Scotland.

At the time Coleraine signed him, Kilpatrick had been playing for Municipal Services in the Amateur League. He quickly established himself on the left-side of the attack, adding his "enthusiasm and craft" and figuring regularly among the club's goalgetters. Good form earned Kilpatrick two Amateur caps, and he made his début in a 5-1 victory over England, a record win for the Irish in the fixture.

Biography:
A Junior, Youth and Schoolboy international, Joe Kinkead played with Lower Shankill Boys and Roden Rec before signing for Distillery as a sixteen year-old. He then spent six years at Linfield. At Windsor Park he largely played second-fiddle to Alex Russell, and played just a handful of senior games plus nearly 200 times for the Swifts. He stepped down to the B Division to play for Larne in 1958. At the time Larne were among the dominant forces in intermediate football and Kinkead collected most of the biggest honours available at that level.

In 1961 Kinkead returned to senior football with Glenavon as stand-in for the injured Roy Rea. So impressive were Kinkead's performances that he retained his place when Rea returned to fitness, including for a 5-1 Irish Cup final win over Linfield. During the 1961/62 season he twice played in Amateur internationals. He remained at Mouneview Park through to his retirement in 1965 after well over one hundred Glenavon appearances.

Kinkead later managed Glenavon from 1968-69 and the Northern Ireland Youth team, leading them to the final Home International Championship in 1973/74. He also managed Ards in the late-1970s. During the 1980s he managed the Irish and Northern Ireland Commonwealth Games Badminton teams and worked at the Olympia Leisure Centre in the shadow of Windsor Park. Through his long career, Kinkead's big regret was that he never claimed an Irish League winner's medal.

Biography:
Tim Kelly commenced his footballing career while serving in the RAF. He represented the RAF against the Civil Service and the Navy before gaining two Ireland Amateur caps in 1929. Shortly after his second amateur international appearance Kelly signed with Fulham, turning professional in July 1930. He made a single firstteam outing at Craven Cottage, in a 2-0 defeat at Walsall in February 1931.

As a worker at the Vauxhall car plant, Kelly played and later managed the works team. During the 1930s they won the South Midland League three times. He joined Luton Town as a part-time coach in 1952 before rising to the position of full-time assistant manager. He left Kenilworth Road in April 1955 to manage Bedford Town, just weeks before Luton's promotion to Division One.
Bedford Eagles

After twice finishing Southern League runners-up under Kelly's leadership, Bedford took the title in 1959. They also enjoyed notable FA Cup success as in 1955/56 they defeated League side Watford before taking Arsenal to a replay in which they lost 2-1 after extra-time and the following season they defeated Norwich.

Between 1959 and 1962 Kelly had an unhappy spell in charge of Hastings United which saw relegation to the Southern League First Division in 1961 and a rock bottom finish the following year. In December 1963 he returned to Bedford as caretaker manager, leading them to another famous FA Cup triumph over Newcastle United and cementing his place as the club's most successful manager.

Kelly gained national fame for leaving out titbits for leprechauns to bring his team luck. His son, Terry later played for Luton Town and Cambridge United.

Biography:
During the Second World War Lieutenant Dennis Kelleher, R.N.V.R. was captured at Torbruk. In March 1944 he succeeded in escaping from a German Prisoner of War camp and on 25 March, just three days after arriving back in England, he returned to the football field for Barnet in a 2-1 win over Grays Athletic.

Kelleher was a successful goalscorer with Barnet from the late-1930s through to the early-1950s. He scored Barnet's decisive third in the 3-2 Amateur Cup Final win over Bishop Aukland in front of 53,832 people at Stamford Bridge in 1946 as the trophy was taken to Underhill for the first time. He appeared in another Amateur Cup Final at the same venue two years later, Leytonstone however finished 1-0 victors over Barnet. In his decade with Barnet, Kelleher also claimed winners medals in the Athenian League, London Senior Cup and Hertfordshire Senior Cup.

An Irish Amateur international, he marked his debut against Scotland in April 1938 with a goal in a 2-1 win. The following February he travelled to Belfast along with club-mate Jim McCarthy and the England team for his second Amateur cap. In 1948 he was a member of the Great Britain team, managed by Matt Busby, that finished fourth at the London Olympics. That same year he resumed his Amateur international career after a seven-year War induced break. In February 1949, as captain, he scored in a 1-0 win over England at Carrow Road, Norwich. That December, again as captain, he led Ireland's fight-back from a 0-2 half-time deficit to defeat Scotland 5-2 at Pittodrie, Aberdeen.

Biography:
A tigerish, no-nonsense midfielder, Terry Kingon was loved or loathed by Irish League fans, depending on whether he was playing for their team or against them!

Kingon came to the fore with Gibby McKenzie's Portadown side, making his debut in 1969. He claimed Amateur international recognition while still a teenager. Never a prolifc goalscorer, he was actually Ballymena's topscorer during the 1976/77 season with a total of just six.

Part of the Glentoran's "Unbeatables" side that claimed the Irish League in 1981, Kingon is perhaps best remembered for his cracking goal and all-action performance in a 3-3 friendly draw against Spurs to mark The Glens' centenary.

Later Kingon managed Harland & Wolff Welders then Portadown from 1985 until replaced by Ronnie McFall in December 1986. He died in May 2008 following a lengthy illness.
