Biography:
Son of Mark, Ross Glendinning won Schoolboy caps while at Glengormley High School. He came through the ranks at Linfield, adding Under-17 caps to his collection. Having spent the first half of the 2011/12 season on loan at Ballyclare Comrades, Glendinning made his Linfield début towards the end of the season with a couple of substitute appearances against Cliftonville and Coleraine as the Blues regular 'keepers, Alan Blayney and Stuart Addis struggled with injury.

With Blayney again injured, Glendinning's first senior club starts came early in the following campaign as B36 Torshavn were defeated on penalties in the UEFA Champions League preliminary round, however he returned to the bench when Blayney regained his fitness. Glendinning's club performances earned him elevation to the Northern Ireland Under-21 panel that travelled to Hungary for a friendly in August 2012 and he made his début from the bench.

Over the following few seasons Glendinning found himself battling for a starting place at Linfield against Jonny Tuffey, finally permanently displacing the Northern Ireland international during the 2014/15 season. For the 2015/16 season Glendinning was undisputed first choice for the Blues, but they club were suffering an uncharacteristic barren spell. He was injured in the weeks prior to the 2016 Irish Cup final and took a place on the bench for a 2-0 defeat by Glenavon as relative-rookie Gareth Deane was favoured.

In the summer of 2016 David Healy signed Roy Carroll and Glendinning was sent on loan to Ballymena where he would once again vie with Alan Blayney for a starting place. Having seen off Blayney, Glendinning's move to Ballymena became permanent for the following season.

Biography:
A member of Distillery's last championship winning side, Stan Gregg was also involved in further successes and big European matches with the Whites. Capped by Ireland Amateurs in February 1964, that summer he signed for Linfield, but his début was delayed until September by a wrangle between the clubs over the transfer fee.

Gregg spent five successful years at Windsor Park, featuring in the Linfield side that reached the quarter-finals of the European Cup in 1966/67. By the time he left the Blues in 1969 he had claimed all the domestic honours with the exception of the Irish Cup, having lost in finals with Distillery against Linfield and with Linfield against Glentoran.

After joining Bangor Gregg claimed his second Co. Antrim Shield winner's medal as the Seasiders defeated Ards after a third final replay for their first ever senior trophy success.

Gregg died suddenly in May 2011 although he had been ill for some time.

Biography:
A civil servant by day, Peter Gillespie moved from Cliftonville to Portadown as a teenager. He developed rapidly under the guidance of Gibby MacKenzie at Shamrock Park, claiming an Amateur cap at inside-right and representing the Irish League against the League of Ireland in his favoured wide-right role. He was part of the Ports' "nearly" team of 1961/62 who fell just short of Linfield during the Blues' clean-sweep season, his brilliance often proving a game-changer.

After a brief spell with Bangor, Gillespie joined championship-chasing Dundalk. He played six times in the run-in, losing just once, in what proved to be the title-deciding clash with Shamrock Rovers at Milltown. In 1964/65 he joined Glentoran, teaming up with Gibby McKenzie. While at The Oval he played in an Ulster Cup final defeat by Linfield.

Biography:
"One of the most brilliant young goalkeepers in Irish football" it was David Agnew's performance in an Amateur international against Scotland at Aberdeen that drew the attentions of cross-channel clubs.

Agnew had been de-mobbed from the Army in 1948 and played with McCue Dicks, the works team of a Belfast timber merchant, and winners of the 1947/48 Co. Antrim Junior Shield. Signed by Crusaders who were only elected to the Irish League in 1949, he quickly earned recognition from Ireland Amateurs and shortly thereafter a move to Sunderland.

In a transfer deal that went through at 2 a.m. on the morning of the 11th January 1950, Agnew netted Crusaders a significant £2,750 fee. It was on 30th August 1950 that he made his Sunderland debut in a 3-3 home draw with Aston Villa and though he remained at Roker Park through to 1953 he never made another firstteam appearance.
