Biography:
Bobby Burns came through the Northern Ireland schools and youth set-ups playing largely as a holding midfielder and occasionally as a winger. He captained the Under-18 side to the Centenary Shield in 2017. At the same time he was enjoying a successful spell at Knockbreda where he played regularly as a forward for the first time in his career. The following season he established himself the Glenavon forward line, despite having the squad number three. He was still just 18 when awarded his first Under-21 cap. In May 2018 he agreed to join Hearts on a three year contract for an undisclosed free.

Biography:
Lanky striker of immense promise, Kyle Lafferty has already been marked for greatness. Handed his international debut during the 2006 US Tour, he played in that summer’s Milk Cup Tournament, then promptly scored his first Full international goal at the start of the 2006/07 season.
Highly sought after, Celtic and Wolves both made substantial bids for Lafferty. It was Rangers, the team he supported as a boy, that claimed his signature in a deal worth over £3 million in June 2008. He helped Rangers to three titles in four seasons.
With Rangers financial meltdown during 2012, Lafferty left the club for Swiss side, FC Sion. After a turbulent season in Switzerland he became just the second Northern Ireland international (after Joshua Sloan) to feature in Italy by joining Union Sportiva Città di Palermo. He was voted fans' player of the year and helped Palermo to the Serie B title in his only season in Italy.
In June 2014 Lafferty joined Norwich in a deal reported to be worth €6 million.
Lafferty won his 50th cap against Belarus in May 2016.

Biography:
Andy Kirk, son of ex-long-serving Distillery manager Paul, has proven a reliable goalscorer throughout his career. A product of the successful Glentoran youth set-up of the late-1990s that also produced Stuart Elliott, Kirk made a £50,000 move to Hearts in February 1999, shortly before his twentieth birthday. Although his firstteam appearances were limited by injuries he proved a success when available, regularly hitting double figures in the goalscoring charts. Hearts parilous financial situation saw him released when his contract expired in 2004.
More to follow.
After four years out of the international reckoning, Kirk was recalled to the Northern Ireland squad for a World Cup Qualifier against the Czech Republic in October 2009. He came on as a late substitute in a 0-0 draw.
Kirk was one of eight players to be made redundant by Dunfermline in March 2013 as the club was on the brink of financial meltdown.
In 2014 Kirk joined the coaching staff at Rangers. He then returned to Hearts, joining the coaching staff in early-2016. In December 2016 he was appointed as joint-caretaker manager along with Jon Daly following the resignation of Robbie Nielson.

Biography:
On 27 June 2007 Aaron Hughes teamed up with his former international boss, Lawrie Sanchez, at Fulham.
No player has captained Northern Ireland more times.
In August 2011 became the first Northern Ireland player to make 400 appearances in the English Premier League. When he played his 455th and final Premier League match in January 2014 he had never been sent-off, a record only bettered by Ryan Giggs.
Hughes announced that he would retire from international football at the end of the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign. However, he reversed that decision in February 2012.
He has featured in every defensive role for Northern Ireland and is now the second most capped player of all time, and the most capped outfield player.
In 2015 Hughes signed for A-League side Melbourne City. In 2016 he joined Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters as their marquee player and helped them to the championship final where they lost out to Atletico de Kolkata on penalties.
