Biography:
A left-sided defender or midfielder, Luke Conlan has represented Northern Ireland at every level up to and including Under-21. Capped as a schoolboy while at St. Columba's in Portaferry, he impressed in the Victory Shield before joining Burnley in the summer of 2011. He was part of the Clarets side that reached the 2012 FA Youth Cup semi-final, leading him to sign his first professional deal that April.

In the summer of 2012 Conlan was part of the Northern Ireland squad that competed at the Milk Cup, despite being only 17 at the time. He was still a few weeks short of his nineteenth birthday when awarded his first Under-21 cap as a late substitute in a Euro qualifier against Serbia in October 2013.

In April 2014, with Conlan suffering from knee problems, it was announced the he would not be retained by Burnley for the following season. However, come September he had recovered sufficiently to be offered a new contract. In July 2015 he joined St Mirren on loan. In January he moved on another loan deal, this time to Morecambe, a deal that was made permanent at the end of the season.

Biography:
Josh McQuoid's most impressive performance in a green shirt to date was a two goal salvo in an Under-21 international against Scotland.

A hattrick for Bournemouth against Tranmere in the FA Cup saw McQuoid called into the Northern Ireland squad as a late inclusion for a November 2010 friendly against Morocco. A week later he scored another hattrick as Bournemouth defeated Walsall 3-0. He then made his international debut as a half-time substitute against the Africans, and it was a foul on him that earned Northern Ireland a late penalty from which they equalised.

On 25th November 2010 McQuoid joined Millwall on an initial loan which became a permanent move valued at around £600,000 when the transfer window opened the following January.
He failed to impress at the New Den and joined Burnley mid-way through the following season as striking cover. He was then allowed to return to Bournemouth on a three year deal in exchange for Scott Malone.

McQuoid made a rapid return to the Championship as Bournemouth were promoted as League One runners-up. Having struggled to make the Cherries side at the higher level, mainly due to injury, McQuoid joined Peterborough on loan and scored the opener as the Posh defeated Chesterfield in the 2014 Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at Wembley.

Prior to the start of the 2014/15 season McQuoid joined Coventry on a loan deal through to January.

Biography:

A young defender on the fringes of the Celtic firstteam squad, Daniel Lafferty's favoured role is in the centre of defence, but he is also capable at left-back. A product of Derry-based Oxford United, Lafferty has represented Northern Ireland at Youth level and was a member of the Elite team that won the 2008 Milk Cup tournament. He made his Under-21 debut during a mini-tournament in Ukraine during August 2008 and started for an inexperienced B team that lost 3-0 to Scotland in May 2009. On 17th February 2010 he joined First Division side Ayr United on loan until the end of the season. He was released by Celtic at the end of the 2009/10 season and returned home to sign for Derry City.

In January 2012 Lafferty earned a much deserved move back across the water, joining the healthy Northern Ireland contingent at Burnley. He made his Football League debut in a 0-0 draw at Cardiff that March.

Lafferty struggled with injuries while at Burnley and never really enjoyed an extended run in the team. He spent a number of loan spells away from Turf Moor. At the start of the 2016/17 season he joined Sheffield United on another temporary deal, which became permanent mid-season for an undisclosed fee.

Biography:
Born at Walker's Place, Londonderry to Edward and Bridget (nee Doherty), Barney Donaghey started his playing career with Derry Celtic as an 18 year-old. Not a prolific goalscorer, he managed about 50 goals in a career that took him from Derry to Belfast and on to Edinburgh, Lancashire and back to Derry again.

Donaghey opened his goalscoring account for Derry Celtic with 2 goals in the 3-3 draw with Cliftonville in the Irish League in September 1900. In his short spell with Ulster he scored a goal in a Charity Cup match in April 1902 while on his debut for Belfast Celtic on 30/08/1902 he scored a goal in the 4-2 defeat of Linfield and followed up with another goal in the 2-0 defeat of his previous club Derry Celtic on the 4th October 1902.

Undoubtedly the most famous player at Derry Celtic he played twice for the Irish League team while in their colours. His one full International appearance possibly brought him under notice from Hibernian in Scotland as three of their players were in the Scottish team. After playing for the Irish League against the Football League at Manchester on the 14th October 1905 he was signed by the United club to the end of the season.

During the Great War Donaghey served in the 1st Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. He was killed on the first day of the Battle of the Somme on 1st July 1916, leaving behind his wife of two years, Sarah (nee Maguire). He is buried at Mill Road Cemetery, Thiepval.

Biography:
In the 1950s the Irish FA regularly hosted the British Army for representative matches. The teams that were selected by Peter Doherty in these games featured fringe internationals, experienced Irish League campaigners and possible stars of the future in what could be considered the "B" international games of the day. One such "star of the future" to appear in these games was Burnley's Bobby Burke, a player who had been plucked from junior football in his native Ballymena by Burnley in 1955.

Burke made a bright start at Turf Moor, playing in twenty matches mainly at inside-right, as stand-in for Jimmy McIlroy. However, when his fellow Ulster-man returned to the squad for the 1956/57 season Burke was sidelined and his final appearance in claret and blue came against Luton in April 1956. The following October brought his selection for the Irish FA in a 2-1 defeat by the Army.

After two seasons without any firstteam action, Burke left Burnley to sign for Chester. His stay at Sealand was brief and in the early-sixties he was back in Ballymena, playing for United. While with the Braidmen he represented the Irish League, playing in a 3-1 win over the League of Ireland in March 1963.

Biography:
Born in Enniskillen, much of Paddy Corr's life revolved around Ballymena. He was playing for Seven Towers United when picked-up by Ballymena United in early-1949. He quickly established himself in the starting eleven, scoring six goals in 12 games in his first season. The following season he was a fixture at inside-forward, but the goals largely dried up and he was left out for the Ulster Cup final against Larne in April 1950.

Corr moved on to Coleraine were he established himself in the half-back line. So impressive were his performances that by the end of the 1950/51 season he was selected for Ireland Amateurs for the visit of Scotland. He retained his place in the Irish side, captaining them as a touring Gold Coast side were defeated early in the following campaign.

In October 1951 Corr was signed by Burnley. He had to wait until the following April for his Football League debut, but it was an inauspicious occasion as the Clarets lost 6-1 at Manchester United. He never played another firstteam match while at Turf Moor and returned home in 1953 to join Glenavon.

Corr quickly refound his form, developing into a strong-forceful half-back and a regular in the Irish League representative side, but also a brilliant ball player with an attacking ethos. He was part of the Glenavon side that claimed Irish League, Irish Cup and Gold Cup in 1956/57.

He was a late inclusion in the Northern Ireland 'B' side that faced Rumania in October 1957 following the withdrawal of Southampton's Bobby McLaughlin. He had little to do in the match as the Irish won 6-0, and was considered for the 1958 World Cup Finals squad.

Corr's other sporting interests included boxing and he took an active role as a trainer at the All Saints Amateur Boxing Club in Ballymena for many years. He passed away in the town in January 2017 at the age of 89.
